Last week, we flew over to Cardiff for A's best friend's wedding. We only stayed for a few days since we had to be back for the last week of work before our three week summer vacation. We stayed at a lovely B&B call Hotel One Hundred close to the center of Cardiff, which I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. The service was great, the rooms nicely decorated, and they had a great breakfast spread plus wifi included in the price.
This is the gorgeous wedding venue called Miskin Manor. The ceremony started at noon which was followed by time for pictures and relaxing in the gardens.

Dessert was a lovely light cheesecake alongside raspberry sorbet served on a crisp wafer cookie. The wedding cake was saved for later on in the evening.

The morning following the wedding, we had a lovely Welsh breakfast at our B&B. It was a perfect started to a food-filled day in Cardiff.
I was excited to find an American candy store in the center of Cardiff. Though I really wanted to buy Twizzlers, Tootsie Rolls and Sour Patch Kids, I resisted and we went to the pub instead.

We tried three types of pies at the Goat Major: Steak & Ale, Wye Valley (chicken, cheese, potatoes & leeks), and Pork, Apple and Cider. There were all topped with a crispy puff pastry and served with thick fries. So yummy and filling.

I had to get my fix of asian food while in the UK so for dinner, we went to Thai House. It was a lovely setting to catch up with the bride and groom. We started with a mixed appetizer platter with chicken and beef satays, spring rolls and chicken wings plus a tum yum soup with shrimp. I had my usual order of pad thai and it hit the spot because I am seriously missing asian food in Modena! Congratulations to the happy couple, it was great to celebrate with you!
