^^Let's just say Amélie had much more important things to do than a photoshoot with mommy. It was so difficult to get a good picture of her this time around!
Solids are going well - she's having chunkier mashed foods now, but still has no interest in finger foods which is my next worry/challenge. Her favorite is definitely still split pea soup followed by little pasta stars with chicken and parmesan. Bananas are her favorite fruit by far with pear coming in a close second. She still doesn't like drinking water from her cup by herself, but will take a few sips after every meal if I give it to her. I'm still breastfeeding about 4-5 times per day, but the sessions usually don't last more than 5 minutes each and she usually gets very distracted by whatever else is going on around her.
We no longer put any pillows behind her when she's playing since she's great at sitting up now and is also attempting to crawl. She kind of slowly commando crawls and swivels, but rolling is definitely her strong suit. I feel like she'll be there in a couple of weeks, though I am glad she still pretty much stays in one area for now.
Being shy is a new thing for her too and one of A's favorites. Whenever there is someone new around, she nuzzles up to either me or A though still cautiously smiles and wants to interact. It's very cute and we love that she sees us as her comfort. She's still super smiley and happy most days. I do think that her teeth might be starting to come in since she's been drooling like crazy recently and chewing on random toys.
